About Us
We are a small family operation. We provide quality small batch honey and other products from the hive. Our approach is simple, take care of the bees and our people...everything else will fall in line.

The Beginning

The First Catch
Our interest in beekeeping started 13 years ago when we caught our first swarm. We have been hooked ever since. We started out rescuing bees from houses and offices all over the middle Tennessee area. Over the years, we have rescued bees from trucks, living room walls, and block walls. We now rescue between 20-50 colonies a year. Today we raise and sell queens and colonies for those that are looking to get started in beekeeping. We also sell pure honey products that are safely produced by the honeybees.

13 years ago, John had just picked up his son Jack from school and was ready for their Spring Break trip in Orlando. Right before their departure, they got a call from a friend saying that they needed help with catching a swarm. Jack and John rushed to the scene and delivered! They then drove straight to Disney. They enjoyed the job so much that they went on to start their very own Bee farm!

FAQs
What can I do if I want to help save the bees?
The best thing you can do is to plant more bee food and don't cut the food (flowers) you have! All kinds of yard weeds and wildflowers, but particularly native species provide pollen and nectar to local bees. Think about planting trees.
Too many to count. I’ve been stung all over but I am not allergic to bee venom fortunately!
How many colonies do you have?
I'm interested in beekeeping, where do I start?
Learn as much as you can, before buying any bees or equipment. Join a local beekeeping club like the Nashville Area Beekeeping Association and subscribe to a beekeeping magazine. Find a mentor or someone who can show you what to do and not to do. And make sure you are not allergic to bee stings.
How often do you get stung?
Every time I check the bees, if I'm not careful. When going through dozens of hives in a day, some bee is bound to get you. If you get the stinger out quickly, it's not so bad.
We have between 60-80 colonies. The number fluctuates during the season as we sell colonies and rescue them as well.
